Valeria Ferrara

Close to Business was founded by Valeria Ferrara, a corporate transaction lawyer with more than 18 years of experience, the last 12 of which have been focused in the sector of life sciences, in leading and coordinating projects from a legal and transactional standpoint. She amassed significant industry know-how as regional transactions lead in the strategic corporate transactions section of the legal department of Bristol-Myers Squibb Co.

Marco Guidi

Marco joined Close to Business in 2018 after spending two years at the Milan Court of Appeal, Corporate Specialized Section, where he focused on corporate law, intellectual property law and pharmaceutical law. After completing his undergraduate studies, he pursued further education by attending a Ph.D. program in EU Competition Law in the Technology Sector, a post-doctoral program in EU Food Law, and a master's degree in Antitrust Law at 24Ore Business School.

Alberto Iadevaia

Alberto joined Close to Business in 2020 after professional experiences abroad in New York (USA) at Herzfeld & Rubin P.C. in 2000 and in Amsterdam (NL) at KPMG Meijburg & Co.spending in 2003. He is an expert in tax and corporate law, dealing with domestic and international taxation. Alberto specializes in assisting, advising, and defending taxpayers during tax audits, assessments, and litigation at all levels.

Lucrezia Spagnoletti

Lucrezia joined Close to Business in 2022. Acting as a qualified lawyer, she advises national and international clients on compliance with civil law and privacy requirements, with a focus on commercial contracts. After completing her undergraduate studies, Lucrezia worked as a trainee lawyer before and qualified lawyer after, in a leading boutique law firm, attending two different executive in Business contract law and commercial law. She even worked for a primary banking institution.

Elisa Di Prima

Elisa started to collaborate with Close to Business in 2023.

She is a qualified lawyer with over 6 years’ experience in a criminal law firm and 3 years’ experience in an international legal consulting firm where she assisted companies in the field of corporate compliance, with a focus on data protection compliance projects and organizational models for the prevention of crimes.

Luca Antony

Luca joined Close to Business in 2024. Luca is a commercial lawyer with over 3 years' experience in an international law firm assisting listed and unlisted companies with their ordinary and extraordinary operations in emerging markets such as India, China, Saudi Arabia and the UAE and financial hubs such as Singapore and Hong Kong. Luca regularly assists clients in negotiating routine commercial contracts and transactional documentation such as JVAs, SHAs, SSAs, SPAs and TTAs and participates in several closings in a year.

Benedetta Zanetti

Benedetta joined Close to Business in 2023 as trainee lawyer. She is graduated in Law at the University of Milan with a thesis in EU Competition Law in the field of digital markets. Benedetta is helping the team focusing on Privacy, Contracts Management and Legal Research.

Paola Paoli

Paola joined Close to Business in 2024. Over the past years, she has been assisting Italian and foreign clients' companies by developing a wide range of contracts, working and connecting with foreign firms, taking part in mergers and/or acquisitions of international companies. She writes legal articles regarding the new European and national regulations, the introduction of new concepts of law and their social impact on the people, and the new regulations regarding sustainability and the environment.
